student housing project
The Student Housing Project will build a new 6-story 600 bed student-housing building that will include graduate and staff apartments, lounges, a multi-purpose room and campus support function spaces.
Budget: $120 million

Pollak Library South
4th-5th Floors
This project fully renovates the 4th and 5th floors, with open areas, more data and power ports, paint, flooring and updated restrooms.
Budget: $4.8 million

Timeline: October 2018 to April 2020
Fire Life Safety Improvements
This project creates 70 ventilation windows for smoke control, installed in the south and west faces of the 2nd through 6th floors, plus basement smoke control and a modern fire lane to meet current fire codes.
Budget: $11.75 million

6th Floor
This project includes fully renovated space to house the Center for Oral and Public History.
Budget: $6 million

McCarthy Hall 2nd Floor
This planned project includes a full renovation of McCarthy Hall’s second floor to provide modern space for learning and faculty-student collaboration.
Budget: $40 million

Status: Surge space (Modular Complex) is complete and in use.

Baseball/Softball Facility Improvements
Serving our student athletes and fans and aiding in recruitment, this project will improve accessibility, renovate and add locker rooms, showers, coaches’ offices and other improvements to the Titan baseball and softball facilities.
Budget: $14 million

Elevator Replacements
Replacement of older elevators is a top campus priority. Work continues this fall to upgrade the elevators in Gordon Hall and McCarthy Hall to improve reliability and accessibility. Pending funding, additional elevators will follow.
Visual Arts Complex Modernization and Expansion
This project will renovate and upgrade six buildings in the Visual Arts Complex, built in 1969. The project will correct functional, building code and programmatic deficiencies, and improve the buildings to support program needs and student success for another 50 years.
Budget: $66 million
Status: In Design; CPDC Presentation scheduled for October 2021; CSU Board of Trustees presentation in January
Tentative Construction Timeline: July 2022 to December 2024
KHS Pool Replacement
This project will replace the existing pool with a new 50-meter pool and modernize the area east of the Kinesiology and Health Science building.
Budget: $8 million
Status: Construction is underway
